Faith and fun are cornerstones of our children’s program, which fosters life-long friendships with each other and with God.
CHURCH SCHOOL
Sundays, around 10:15 am
Parish House & Fellowship Hall
Children join parents in the sanctuary at the beginning of the Sunday worship service for a “children’s message” which explains the weekly sermon in language easily understood by the children. The “children’s message” is presented by our Church School Director, the minister, or a layperson and may take many different forms including puppet shows and dramatic skits.
After the children’s message, the children attend Church School in the Parish House or Fellowship Hall, where volunteer teachers offer creative and engaging curriculum, under the guidance of our Church School Director, Amanda Spagnolia. All of our volunteers – some of whom are professional teachers – are dedicated to providing children meani
ngful and fun experiences to grow in their faith.
We teach basic Bible knowledge and Christian traditions, along with creative lessons in ethics, sacraments, church history, and helping others. We are not a fundamentalist church. We teach respect for people and differences while covenanting to walk together on the pathways leading to God. Our motto is “that they all may be one,” looking toward a time when all of God’s people can live in peace and justice.
Joining is easy: just show up on a Sunday morning with your child. There is no fee, although we do encourage regular attendance.
